Dr Huseyin Hacihabiboglu is an Assistant Professor and the head of Department of Modeling and Simulation at Informatics Institute, METU in Ankara, Turkey. He received the B.Sc. from METU in 2000, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Bristol, Bristol, U.K., in 2001, both in electrical and electronic engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Queen's University Belfast, Belfast, U.K., in 2004. He held research positions at University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. (2004–2008), and King's College London, London, U.K., (2008–2011). His research interests include audio signal processing, room acoustics modeling and simulation, multichannel audio systems, psychoacoustics of spatial hearing, and microphone arrays. Dr Hacihabiboglu will give two lectures on room acoustics, and artificial reverberation, respectively, with a focus on their use in computer games.
