Dr Alptekin Temizel is an Assistant Professor in Department of Information Systems at Informatics Institute, METU in Ankara, Turkey. He received the B.Sc. from METU in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from University of Surrey in 2006. He is the coordinator of the Work-based Learning MSc program. His research interests include image and video processing, image and video compression, video surveillance, video analytics, computer vision, security applications, modelling and simulation, data mining, artificial intelligence,parallel computing, GPU programming and CUDA. Dr Temizel will give a lecture on GPU programming with NVIDIA CUDA for computer games.
